what a unique find - the white-necked heron. have never heard of this one before. :)
I have not seen, nor heard of a white necked heron...so those two photos were a special treat.
Love the marshes! Australia is commonly portrayed as being very dry. I thought I had heard of all the heron species, but I was wrong. What a gorgeous bird! It's obvious where it gets its name!
There is so much beauty there Carole.Have a nice beautiful day.Costas
It looks like a fantastic place to visit Carole... lovely images of the wildlife.

So hard to get a good shot of birds in flight - well done!!
Wonderful photos, Carole! I feel like I'm right there with you enjoying the marvels of nature! That last photo of the flying egret is so beautiful. Amazing that creatures are able to fly in the air! Love seeing the form of his body in flight! Thanks so much for sharing your world with us!

Great shots of a nice place to capture birds and shapely trees. I have never heard of that heron either. The egret in flight against the blue sky is super.
That marshland looks like a great place to explore for birds and animals Carole, as long as there aren't crocs. Lovely heron shots you took.
Great pictures Carole, the (white neck) Heron is not here.I think the really great egret flying.
