Hi Carole, thanks for visiting. Those are real lovely shots! I've been to Newcastle from Sydney, so maybe I've seen the lake but i forgot, it's been a long time.

The Chestnut Teal is my favorite. The water movement and reflection is wonderful and the red and green color of the Teal. Great picture just like the rest Carole.

Where is the 'state conservation area'? I thought you could walk All around the lake?

Carole M. said...

thanks all for your lovely comments.

To Julie, asking where is the conservation area? I've since linked that wording in this post to a site with map. You'll see how there are various dedicated sections/locales mentioned. You can only walk "around the lake" in sections, since many parts around its perimeter are impeded by properties owning exclusive rights to the foreshore.

Beautiful reflections on the lake and great close-up of the chestnut teal - which I have seen but never managed to get close enough for good photos.
