Gorgeous shots Carole!!
What a beautiful, yet odd looking flower. Love the color!
Love how the color of the plant seems to match the soil. :)The second shot looks like a lot of little mouths like the plant from Little Shoppe of Horrors. :)I agree with Wanda - just a little odd looking. Lovely shots nevertheless!
I've seen Sturt's pea in photos, but haven't seen it in person. Isn't it invasive? The look of the first photo seems to be very vigorous plant and maybe invasive, but the flowers are really beautiful. Now i am thinking of wisteria!
What an interesting a beautiful plant. Carletta said what came to my mind also, Little Shop of Horrors. I like how you got down to it's level for the photos. I too like the color of the soil. Nice all around.
Great pictures you show. Wishing you a good weekend. Hanne Bente / hbt.finus.dk
I've never seen these url, nor even photos of the plant, only the flowers. Quite stunning and unusual, like many other of our natives.
Thanks always for feedback; good to know someone is watching! John: I was lucky I didn’t have to get down onto the red earth for these pics. This seemingly single plant, was growing near the edge of a heavy rustic timber fence. I was almost going to add it here, but will save for another meme further down the track.Kakantikan: Not vigorous or invasive as far as I know. It was the only flowering Sturt Desert Pea I came across.
I have never seen these beutiful flowers before! Gorgeous photos!
