Rainbow Lorikeet

I know, you've seen them before aplenty, and these aren't the best of shots in that they were taken through a window with solar-film on, reason for the slightly foggy overlay.  But they were kind of worth sharing still, I thought....and yes, it's the Australian native Bottlebrush again; the Rainbows love the nectar ...










It's just so much fun to get photos without them knowing it!

I like the muted, misty atmosphere. Looks like they were taken in a steamy tropical jungle. And what splendid birds.

It must be a real treat to see them wild and free. The only way we see them here in the States are in a cage.
