Lilium - Leslie Woodriff

Notation: Re-posting at the invitation of Magical Mystical Teacher, for the all new Ruby Tuesday 2 this year.

Photograph taken yesterday; this lilium is growing as tall as me, and is staked in place next the back fence.

The flowers want to face downwards

Carole, these photos are so stunning, as usual! I started to comment earlier, but wanted to wait until I had my entry posted. It's finally up.

There's a "gift" for you there. Hope you don't mind and that you like it! --Sharyl (photo #29 on Lori's page)

Had one similar to these for two years in my little garden - called a 'Star Gazer Lily'...think the gophers got the roots because 'it is no more'...and it smelled so good!!! Yours are awesome!
Happy New Year Carole!

Good thing it is so tall - lets you get into the centres of the flowers without having to crawl on the ground!
